Recoveries continue to outnumber new Covid-19 infections in Kashmir

In Jammu and Kashmir, recoveries continued to outnumber new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday as 562 patients recovered while 364 new cases and 7 deaths were reported during the last 24 hours.

As per the daily information bulletin, 2,423,100 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 16,686 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 4,600 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 2,175,515 persons have completed the surveillance period and 221,976 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 9,960,678 samples are available.

Out of 9,960,678, the number of samples tested negative stands at 9,645,016 while 315,662 have tested positive, among them 4,600 persons are active, 306,739 persons have recovered and 4,323 persons have died

Officials said the new cases comprised 149 from the Jammu division and 215 from the Kashmir division.

No new case of black fungus was reported, and the tally stayed at 29.

As many as 315,662 people have been infected with coronavirus so far out of which 306,739 have recovered, and 4,323 have succumbed.

There are 4,600 active cases out of which 1,928 are from the Jammu and 2,672 from the Kashmir division.

Authorities on Wednesday said that no fresh case of Mucormycosis known as the black fungus was reported and the tally of such cases stands at 29.
