Pulwama youth missing since last Sunday may have joined militants, family appeals for his return

A 24-year-old youth from South Kashmir’s Pulwama district is missing for the past five days and his family has failed to trace him since then, reports said on Thursday.

Manzoor Ahmad Mir, a resident of Babahara village in the district left his home on past Sunday morning but he never returned back.

A family member of Manzoor said on Sunday morning, he left home but he didn’t return back after which we tried to contact him but despite repeated attempts, his phone was off.

“After failing to contact him, we tried to contact his friends, relatives and even neighbours but failed to get any clue about him,” the family member said.

“After failing to get any clue about him, we have lodged a missing report at the concerned police station.” The family member of Manzoor said that the parents of the missing youth are in a deep shock.

The family members of Manzoor including his brother, father and mother have appealed to all, including militant organization, if their son is with them, “please return him back for the sake of humanity.”

They also requested police and the public to help them in tracing him on humanitarian ground. A police official while confirming that the youth has gone missing, said that efforts are to trace him and bring him back.
