Kashmir records 146 fresh Covid-19 cases

Jammu and Kashmir recorded 146 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the infection tally to 3,26,799, while no new death due to the virus was reported in the past 24 hours, officials said.

Out of the fresh cases, 25 were from the Jammu division and 121 from the Kashmir division, the officials said.

Srinagar district recorded the highest number of 72 cases followed by 15 cases in Baramulla district.

There are 1,301 active cases in the Union Territory as recoveries outnumbered fresh cases while the number of recovered patients was 3,21,086, the officials said.

The death due to the pandemic was 4,412 as no new fatality was reported in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the officials said there were 46 confirmed cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) as one fresh case was reported since last evening.

As per the daily information bulletin 3,3676,795 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,742 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,301 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 2,897,756 persons have completed the surveillance period and 465,584 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 13,887,059 samples are available. Out of 13,887,059 the number of samples tested negative stands at 13,560,260 while as 326,799 have tested positive, among them 1,301 persons are active, 321,086 persons have recovered and 4,412 persons have died
