Indian trooper injured in Kashmir capital attack

Suspected militants attacked Indian government forces team in a locality of Kashmir capital on Saturday, injuring a paramilitary trooper.

Officials said militants opened fire at the road opening party of the Central Reserve Police Force’s 29th battalion at Chanapora locality.

They said constable Manoj Kumar Yadav received injury in his foot during the attack.

The injured constable was taken to a hospital and the area was cordoned off and a search launched to nab the attackers.

Meanwhile, insurgent group, the Resistance Front claimed the attack on the internet.
