Indian government forces launched a search operation to hunt pro-freedom insurgents in the Southern Shopian district on Thursday morning.
Amid chilling weather, a cordon and search operation was launched early morning in Gadda Mohalla locality of Shopian town, reports said.
A government forces’ officer said that searches – which lasted for many hours – were carried out after they received inputs about presence of pro-freedom insurgents.
Forces surrounded Gadda Mohalla in the heart of town and started a door-to-door search and after several hours the operation has concluded.
