In a first in four months, no Covid-19 death in Kashmir

For the first time since the outbreak of the second wave of the pandemic, no Covid-19 deaths were recorded in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

The last time was 29 March 2021, when there was no death reported in Jammu and Kashmir due to Covid-19.

Jammu and Kashmir on Monday reported 155 fresh positive cases, taking the number of total active cases to 2,709.

The death stands at 4,357 and 155 fresh positive cases reported on Monday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 318,848.

With 448 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 311,782 which is 97.79 per cent of the total cases.

Meanwhile, authorities on Monday said that no fresh case of Mucormycosis or black fungus was reported and the tally stands at 31.

As per the daily information bulletin, 2,570,745 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 8,989 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 2,708 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 2,278,753 persons have completed the surveillance period and 275,937 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 10,673,690 samples are available.

Out of 10,354,842, the number of samples tested negative stands at 10,354,842 while as 318,848 have tested positive, among them 2,708 persons are active, 311,782 persons have recovered and 4,357 persons have died.
