An Improvised Explosive Device was on Monday recovered and defused in the Khanyar area of Jammu and Kashmir’s summer capital Srinagar, officials said.
A top official said a suspicious steel box was found in Khanyar locality in the evening, stating that the box was found with a wire.
“An IED was found in the steel box, which was defused later,” he said.
Notably, the traffic was stopped in the area, soon after the box was found on the road.
Officials said that after defusing the IED, the traffic was restored.
