Govt employee, 2 Srinagar residents held with ‘rusty revolver’

The government forces on Monday arrested three persons including a government employee and recovered a rusty pistol from their possession in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district, officials said.

Reports said Indian army’s 53 Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operation Group of Jammu and Kashmir arrested three persons during the intervening night of Feb 07 and 08 at Khansahib in the central district.

An official said that a government employee working in the Education Department  identified him as a former militant Bashir Ahmad Shah of Arigam, Faisal Farooq and Inam-ul-Haq—both residents of Chattabal in Srinagar were arrested.

Official said that on their disclosure, a rusty revolver and an AK-47 magazine was recovered.
