An Uttar Pradesh local was arrested with a pistol in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday, officials said in the summer capital Srinagar.
The officials said government forces after receiving a tip-off raided a salon in Bijbehara and arrested Parvaiz Salmani from Gorwan.
Salmani, a resident of Fareedpur Maan Bijnoor, was held with a pistol and ammunition from his salon, they said.
An investigation in this regard has been initiated, the officer added.
