5 more die of Covid-19 in Kashmir, 133 new infections reported

Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday reported five Covid-19 deaths and 133 fresh cases taking the number of total active cases to 1,435.

With five more deaths, the toll in the UT has reached 4,508 and 133 fresh cases have pushed the tally of positive infections to 339,404.

Of the exact number of 339,404 cases, 213,668 are from the Kashmir division and 125,736 from the Jammu division.

Officials said that among 133 new cases, 102 are from the Kashmir division while 31 are from the Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in the Kashmir division have reached 213,668 including 210,275 recoveries and 2,316 deaths while as a total number of positive cases in Jammu division has reached to 125,736 including 123,186 recoveries and 2,192 deaths.

The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,435 including 1,077 from the Kashmir division and 358 from the Jammu division.

With 139 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 333,461 which is 98.25 percent of the total cases.

As per the daily information bulletin, 4,919,406 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,307 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,435 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 4,476,430 persons have completed the surveillance period and 429,726 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 18,487,803 samples are available.

Out of 18,147,803, the number of samples tested negative stands at 18,148,399 while 339,404 have tested positive, among them 1,435 persons are active, 333,461 persons have recovered and 4,508 persons have died.
